New 2016 release of Bowie's stop in LA during his first US tour (1972). Long available as only an unofficial import release (along w/the 1972 Cleveland concert), this show was initially released commercially as a live album within Bowie's Five Years 1969-1973 box set. It was re-mastered in 2016 and issued as a separate double LP. The audio for this live show was admittedly raw but memorable for its sheer energy from Bowie and the band, particularly between Bowie and guitarist Mick Ronson. As an actual concert recording, the sound is raw but powerful and the play list set is awesome! And the set list of 18 songs from Bowie's first three LPs (see below) is classic young, seminal Bowie. The re-mastered release has improved on the audio and the pressing is on 180 gram vinyl. The packaging is also impressive. Definitely a keeper for any Bowie fan.
