NOTES
"Garage Flower" is a collection of recordings The Stone Roses made in 1985 with producer Martin Hannett. The group's original intention was to release an album with the material, but they were unhappy with the resulting songs and Hannett's production and shelved the sessions (a handful of songs were rearranged when bassist Mani joined the group, and rerecorded in different form on the group's 1989 self-titled debut album.) The 1985 recordings also included the songs "So Young" and "Tell Me", which formed the Stone Roses' debut single, released that year. In 1996, the record label Silvertone — who were reviled by the band — created a sublabel, Garage Flower Records, and released these Martin Hannett session recordings against the band's wishes.
